Drumlin Farm has operated as a nonprofit working farm as well as a wildlife sanctuary since our founding in 1955. All of our wild animals indeed do need human care to survive, as their health conditions prevent them from surviving on their own in the wild. Drumlin Farm is a Mass Audubon working farm.
